Airport - Chicago has 4 main airports which
service the city and surrounding areas. The four are
Chicago O'Hare Int'l, Chicago Midway and Chicago Meigs
Field and Chicago Gary Airport.
O'Hare International Airport (ORD) (773-686-2200)
is the airport that handles more passengers than any
other airport in the world. It has over 60 direct
international flights. It has hourly non-stop service
to New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Washington
DC, Detroit, Atlanta, and Minneapolis. O’Hare
International Airport is a state of the art airport
and Chicago’s busiest. It’s also the most
travelled airport in the world. It is a world-class
experience and travellers will find everything they
need and help very accommodating.
Midway Airport (MDW) (773-838-0600).
This airport is located 20 minutes from downtown Chicago
at 5700 Cicero Avenue. It’s just one building,
but it houses three terminals and has a main lobby
where information booths and vehicle pickups are located.
This used to be the most traveled airport in Chicago,
however now the O’Hare International Airport
is.
Chicago Meigs (CGX) is located in
the downtown. It is used for private and business
operations only.
Chicago Gary (GYY) airport is located
in Gary, Indiana.
Most travelers use the O’Hare International
Airport. Getting there is not a problem.
Hotels usually offer free shuttles to and from the
airports, taxi’s and bus are the usual means
of transportation for visitors.
